Terms of use
Run by The Ready Society. Version: 28 October 2026. By using crisisreadysociety.com, its printables, tools, videos and emails ("the site") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. In an emergency
Call your local emergency number first. In the UAE: Police 999, Ambulance 998, Civil Defence 997. Always follow instructions from emergency services and your local authorities. They take priority over anything on this site.
2. General information, not professional advice
The site gives general safety and preparedness information, summarised in our own words from official public sources that we link on each page. It is not medical, legal, engineering or other professional advice and is not a substitute for training such as a recognised first aid course. Situations differ, and advice that suits one place, building or person may not suit another.
3. Accuracy
We check each guide against its sources and show the date it was last reviewed. Official advice changes, and we may make mistakes. We do not promise that the site is complete, accurate, up to date or available at all times. Check the linked official source for the latest version, and tell us about any error at hello@crisisreadysociety.com.
4. Your decisions and safety
You are responsible for how you use the information, for supervising children, and for following manufacturers' instructions and local rules when you buy, store or use any product, including generators, gas, fuel, batteries, fire extinguishers and first aid items.
5. Products, shops and affiliate links
We do not sell any product. Gear lists name types of products that official guides recommend or imply; they are not endorsements of a brand or seller. Shop links to Amazon.sa, Amazon.ae, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.com and noon are affiliate links and we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you (see our affiliate disclosure). Any purchase is a contract between you and the seller. The seller is responsible for the product, its safety, its approval for sale in your country, delivery, returns and warranty. Before buying, check that the product suits your needs and is approved for use where you live.
6. Other websites and videos
Links to official websites, shops and YouTube are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
7. Tools that save on your device
The checklists, quiz, family plan builder and emergency card save your entries only in your browser. We cannot see, back up or recover them. Keep a printed copy of anything important, such as your family plan and emergency contacts.
8. Using our content
Our text, layout, printables, videos and design belong to Crisis-Ready Society. You may view, print and share pages and printables for personal, household, school and internal workplace use, free of charge, as long as you keep our name and do not change the safety content. You may not sell our content, republish it as your own, or use it to train or feed automated systems without our written permission. Content from official sources and logos of other organisations belong to their owners.
9. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the site: do not attack, overload or try to break into it, scrape it in a way that slows it down, sign up other people without their permission, or use it for anything unlawful.
10. Email reminders and your data
Email reminders are free and optional. We process personal data in line with the EU GDPR, the UK GDPR and the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021). Where we rely on your consent, we ask for it separately from these terms, with a box that is not pre-ticked, and we confirm your address before sending anything else. You may withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, using the unsubscribe link in every email or by emailing us; withdrawal does not affect processing before it. Email sign-ups are for people aged 16 or over. Details are in our privacy policy.
11. Optional accounts
Accounts are free and optional, and only for people aged 18 or over. Keep your password and devices secure and do not share your account. Give accurate details. We may suspend or delete an account that is misused or breaks these terms. You can delete your account at any time on the My account page. Syncing is offered as a convenience and may sometimes fail or be unavailable, so keep a printed copy of your family plan and emergency contacts. Only sync other people's details if they are happy for you to do so. Our privacy policy explains what we keep.
12. No warranty and limits on our liability
The site is provided free of charge "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties and we are not liable for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site, its printables, tools, videos, emails, or any linked website or product. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded.
13. Changes
We may change, pause or remove any part of the site at any time. We may update these terms; the version date at the top shows when. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of the United Arab Emirates have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection rights you have in the country where you live.
15. Language
These terms are also available in Arabic. If the two versions differ, the English version applies.
